Operational Limits & Liability
Welcome to A&J EXPRESS MOVING INC. We're committed to the safe, efficient transit of your cargo. However, it's vital to recognize that large-scale logistics involves inherent risks. When you book with us, you're agreeing to the terms outlined below. Have you considered the scope of your transit insurance lately?
1. Cargo Handling & Liability
At A&J EXPRESS MOVING INC, our liability for loss or damage to goods is strictly limited according to standard industry protocols. Unless a higher valuation is declared in writing before transit, our maximum liability is limited to $0.50 per pound of freight.
We don't accept responsibility for damages caused by improper packaging by the shipper or natural disasters (Acts of God). We’re talking about things genuinely beyond our control. Our team works hard, but we can't stop a hurricane, can we?
2. Transit Insurance Requirements
While we maintain comprehensive carrier insurance, we strongly recommend that all clients obtain third-party transit insurance for high-value shipments. We believe in being upfront: primary liability often falls on the owner unless specific negligence is proven. It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to long-haul forwarding.
3. Payment Terms & Penalties
Invoices are due within 15 days of the delivery date. Late payments will incur a 1.5% monthly compound interest fee. If you’ve got questions about a specific bill, contact our dispatch team at (570) -634 4711 immediately. We don't like surprises any more than you do.
4. Delivery Timelines
Estimated delivery dates are precisely that: estimates. While we boast a 98% on-time record over the last 17 years, traffic, border delays, and logistics bottlenecks occasionally happen. A&J EXPRESS MOVING INC shall not be liable for consequential damages resulting from minor delays.
